The Minnesota Timberwolves could be aggressive in their pursuit to improve their roster with Gersson Rosas taking over the front office this summer. Among the potential trade cogs are point guard Jeff Teague and Robert Covington, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

Teague will $19 million in the final year of his contract, making him a prime candidate to land elsewhere. The Wolves were prepared to trade him if they landed D'Angelo Russell in free agency, but that possibility was snatched from their grip as Russell agreed to a sign-and-trade for Kevin Durant.

Teague had ankle surgery in April after having a rather ineffective shooting season in 2018-19, but even if there is interest in him, Minnesota would need a fallback point guard option to strike a deal.

Covington has some value as one of the premiere 3-and-D talents in the league, but he was bothered by a knee injury and ultimately underwent surgery in April. The Timberwolves swirled his name around to other front offices during the NBA Draft as they looked to move up. If he returns healthy from his knee injury, he could command a few offers, which should only help bolster this team's youth.

RoCo still has three years and $36.4 million left in his deal — a rather sweet commodity on the market, considering his skill set and the work ethic he has brought to the Philadelphia 76ers and Minnesota.

If he does heal up properly, the Timberwolves could also have a change of heart if he has the same effect he had on this team as he did this past season when he was healthy.
