The Tennessee Titans clinched the AFC South and currently sit as the number-one seed in the AFC following the Kansas City Chiefs' loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. The Titans, who have managed to go 5-3 without All-Pro running back Derrick Henry, received a massive update on their star with the playoffs around the corner.

That is a big-time update for the Titans on Derrick Henry. It was initially reported by ESPN's Dianna Russini that Henry, who sustained a Jones fracture in his foot, would be able to return from his injury just in time to help Tennessee make a playoff run.

The latest Derrick Henry injury update indicates that he could be back on the field for the Titans soon. Henry, who could reportedly be activated off of IR on Wednesday, would have 21 days to get on the field for Tennessee.

The Titans star was “doing some work” Monday, according to head coach Mike Vrabel, so it sounds like Henry's return from injury is right around the corner.

Henry reportedly could return for Week 18 against the Houston Texans, though the Titans want to give him more time to recover so that he's at full strength for the postseason.

After seeing Derrick Henry run for over 900 yards in just eight games this season- and 446 in the playoffs two years ago, a fully healthy Henry should be a scary prospect for the rest of the NFL. Get excited Titans fans.
