The Detroit Pistons only had 10 seconds left in the third period to try and trim the Chicago Bulls lead, so Markieff Morris made the most of it with a six-point swing of his own.

Morris rewarded Svi Mykhailiuk's hustle, who made a pass to the stretch big as he was falling out of bounds. The 30-year-old Kansas alum caught the pass and quickly pulled the trigger as the shot clock expired, draining a triple with 8.7 seconds left in the third to cut the deficit to seven.

The Pistons weren't done yet as Langston Galloway stole the ball in Chicago's ensuing inbound play. He got the ball to Tim Frazier who then skipped a pass to Morris who was a few feet away from the arc at the time. The distance didn't matter as Kieff set his feet up and drained the shot over Coby White's defense, pulling the Pistons to within four entering the fourth, 89-93.

But their comeback fell short in the final canto, as Chicago ran away with a 119-107 road victory. Morris led the Pistons with 23 points and six assists in 37 minutes.
