Golden State Warriors superstar small forward Kevin Durant has some high praise for Duke phenom Zion Williamson.

Appearing on the Bill Simmons podcast, Kevin Durant said Zion Williamson is a once-in-a-generation athlete and that he's never seen a player like him before.

“He's a once-in-a-generation athlete, I've never seen somebody like that before,” Durant said, via CBS Sports. “Zion Williamson, I've never seen anybody that's lefty that can dunk with his right hand like that, and cock the ball back so far and jump so high off two feet. I've seen people jump high, but not that way, you know what I'm saying?”

Zion Williamson is 6-foot-7 and 285 pounds. He can jump out of the gym and has explosion we haven't seen from a player of his size since LeBron James. Sure, his jump shot needs work, but when you can get to the rim and finish in heavy traffic the way Williamson can, you don't really need a jump shot in college basketball.

Barring something unforeseen, Zion Williamson will likely be a top two pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. His teammate, fellow freshman R.J. Barrett, could go No. 1 overall, although with the way Williamson has been playing this season, it would be hard for an NBA team to pass on him.
