In a recent revelation, Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul shared some intricate details about his relationship with Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry. Even before Curry set foot in the NBA, he was already hanging out with Paul on and off the court, giving CP3 an opportunity to know what type of person the two-time NBA MVP actually is.

Per Josh Schrock of NBC Sports, Paul said Curry was a regular at his summer basketball camp. They also went to Disney World one time, where Curry hitched with Paul's entire family.

“When he came into the league he had my respect because we had spent that real time together training and working out. And Steph just kept getting nicer and nicer and nicer. Like I said, he had my respect. But when I played for the (Los Angeles) Clippers and once we got into the playoff series, it just slowly started building. But man, Steph been nice. It was just a matter of time for them to put in the system that was for him. The rest is history.”

Paul is referring to the first round meeting of the Warriors and the Clippers in the 2014 NBA Playoffs, where he and Curry battled each other in seven pulsating games.

In the end, it was Paul and his crew who came out on top. Things developed quickly for Curry and the Warriors as they won the title the following season to jumpstart a dynasty.

As fate would have it, Chris Paul and Stephen Curry met again in the 2018 Western Conference Finals when the Warriors faced the Houston Rockets. This time, it was Curry who came out on top as Paul was forced to sit out Game 7 due to a hamstring injury.
