The Golden State Warriors are facing uncertainty for the first time in a long while. Not only are two of their best players out for the majority of next season, but they also have to make key decisions with some of their free agents — one of which is big man DeMarcus Cousins.

Cousins signed with the Warriors on a one-year deal last summer as he rehabbed from a torn Achilles he suffered while playing for the New Orleans Pelicans. He was given a chance by Golden State to prove himself this season, and although he didn't do a lot of great things on the court, Boogie is likely looking for a bigger paycheck this year.

Warriors Steve Kerr understands Cousins' mentality heading into free agency, and he recently told reporters that the Warriors will not be able to offer him the amount of money that he wants. However, if Boogie decides to come back, he will be welcomed with open arms.

There are growing concerns about Cousins' ability to stay healthy. Three months after returning from a ruptured Achilles, he suffered a thigh injury early in the playoffs that would sideline him for the second round and the conference finals. Boogie did return in the NBA Finals, but it was obvious that he's no longer the All-Star he once was.

An extended rest and a full training camp with either the Warriors or a new team could help Cousins moving forward. After all, it is not easy playing with four All-Star caliber players. However, with Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson out, DeMarcus might see an increased role for Golden State.

That is, if he decides to come back.
