With Washington Wizards point guard John Wall out with a knee injury, he won't be able to compete in the All-Star Game next month. Enter Jaylen Brown?

At least Golden State Warriors Draymond Green believes so. He told Chris Haynes of ESPN that Brown, a second-year player for the Boston Celtics, should be in the game.

Green may have a point. Brown has been a key catalyst for the Celtics all season, even for a player his age and with his experience. He's fit in nicely with the team, and has blossomed in a bigger role since Gordon Hayward went down with a season-ending injury at the start of the season.

Brown has averaged 14.1 and 5.5 rebounds this year, per Basketball-Reference. He's started all 46 games he has played.

The wrinkle in this whole situation is NBA Commissioner Adam Silver is the person who chooses Wall's replacement in the Eastern Conference. That means Brown will have to get the nod from Silver, and not from other players or coaches, or even team captains Stephen Curry or LeBron James.

It's unclear exactly how Silver chooses replacements for injured players. Perhaps he takes a survey of NBA coaches general managers, or combs social media to see what players are saying.

Either way, Brown definitely has a case to be in the game with how well he's played for the Celtics this season. And for a second-year player, Brown would certainly relish in the opportunity to represent the Celtics in that weekend.

At least Brown has one supporter in Green for this involvement in the All-Star Game.
