The Golden State Warriors are coming off their second straight NBA title and third in the last four years, which has made them the standard bearers in the NBA.

However, the Los Angeles Lakers have possibly put themselves on the map after the big splash move in free agency with the addition of All-Star forward LeBron James on a four-year, $153 million deal. According to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated, All-Star forward Draymond Green voiced that he likes James' decision to join Los Angeles because it is one that he made in spite of the criticism.

It was a move that had been rumored over the last several months that had only gained more chatter the closer the offseason got. It is a chance for James to take on a new challenge in this next chapter of his career, and he will have the task of bringing the Lakers back to relevancy in the league.

This move has now made the Western Conference even more stacked, with the Lakers likely being in the playoff picture in what will be a crowded race to secure a spot in the postseason. James is still playing some of the best basketball of his career heading into his 16th year in a league that should see the four regular-season matchups between Los Angeles and Golden State take center stage.

Even with James in the picture, the Warriors have only strengthened their roster with the addition of All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins. This has only brought more intrigue to when the two teams will play each other on Christmas Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day in nationally televised games.
