It's finally here. After over two years of waiting, the NBA will see Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson return to the basketball court. It's been a long time coming for NBA fans, who hasn't seen Thompson play since injuring his ACL in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals.

Warriors fans are understandably excited for their beloved Klay to be able to play basketball again. Amongst those excited for his return is Thompson's own teammate, Draymond Green. The forward tweeted out a simple hype message celebrating his friend's return to action.

Draymond Green and Klay Thompson have a lot of history together. The two have been Warriors teammates since their respective careers started, and they formed the backbone of the Golden State dynasty alongside Stephen Curry. In addition, Green and Thompson played together in multiple iterations of Team USA. There's a bond between these two that can't be explained with words.

It's not just Green who's incredibly excited for Klay's return. In celebration of Thompson's return, Curry hilariously changed his Twitter icon to a meme-able image of his Splash Brother. NBA players and fans alike have been anticipating the Warriors star's comeback for years now, and for good reason.

At his peak, Klay Thompson was really the only one who could compete with Stephen Curry in terms of shooting. The two Warriors shooters took turns breaking three-point shooting records like it was nothing, forming the most potent backcourt in the league. Thompson returning to NBA action is a good thing, not only for the Warriors but also for fans in general. The league is better when Klay is around.
