Fans have used all means available to mock Cleveland Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith's late-game mistake in Game 1. One fan even quoted the Golden State Warriors' Kevin Durant just to rub in Smith's blunder which cost the game for Cleveland.

As tweeted by Warriors on NBCS, a fan used Durant's widely-known quote from his MVP speech in 2014. Below is a photo of the fan, holding up the quote:

In the original speech, Durant was pertaining to his mom — thanking her for everything she's done to raise him up and get him to this point, thus, dedicating his MVP Award to his mom.

For Smith's case, fans — mostly Warriors fans — have been sarcastically thanking him for messing up in the most critical moment of the game. To recall, after snagging the offensive rebound, Smith dribbled the ball out instead of calling a timeout. The game went into overtime and the Warriors stormed on the Cavs.

Prior to Game 2, Smith talked about his late-game blunder, saying that he has moved on from it. As reported by Dave McMenamin of ESPN:

“I don't really dwell on things too much. I've been like that my whole life, and that's what it looks like it's going to continue to be. So I just got to go out there and be me. I told somebody right after the game that I'm glad it happened to me, as opposed to anybody else on my team. To be in that situation is tough, and it's not a situation that everybody can handle. So I'm glad it happened to me.”
