Although the start of the regular season is less than two months away, the Golden State Warriors are still relishing the achievement of winning an NBA championship.

This is certainly the case for veteran big man JaVale McGee, who apparently has his turn at taking home the Larry O'Brien trophy. In a recent Instagram post, McGee playfully joked that he would sell the trophy to a pawn shop.

Obviously, McGee would not go this route with the prestigious award, but it rather shows the excitement he still has about winning his first NBA title. This came in his first year with the team as one of the contributors off the bench that played his part in helping his team garner its second championship in the last three years.

McGee is back in the mix for at least another season as he signed a one-year deal worth $2.1 million with the Warriors earlier this offseason. There was some doubt that he wasn't going to return as he was looking for a more defined role on the team.

However, it appears that competing for an NBA title outweighed his personal desires on the court. Golden State is the heavy favorite to repeat as it brought back all its key players in free agency while adding a few other contributors to the roster.
