While guard Jeremy Lin's chances of landing back in the NBA took a huge hit in December, the former Golden State Warriors guard may have found another way back. Though it took some time, Lin has landed back on a path to potentially join the Warriors if his production is up to par.

According to The Athletic's Sham Charania, Lin has agreed to join the Golden State's G League affiliate team, Santa Cruz, on Thursday:

The Warriors have been about the only team who have showed interest in Lin, though it would require a bit of maneuvering to clear way for the 6-foot-3 guard to come to the Bay Area.

It was ironically reported by Charania at the time in December that Lin would be joining the organization, though Lin was quick to dispel that notion after tweeting that the process was moving much slower than he expected. After not receiving clearance from the CBA in enough time, Lin failed to clear waivers to join the Santa Cruz Warriors. He was instead replaced by rookie Elijah Pemberton.

Golden State haven't gotten off to the start that many would've hoped for, mostly given to the amount of new faces and the absence of star guard/forward Klay Thompson. Lin's experience could be valuable as the Warriors look to take control of their season before it gets out of hand.
