The Golden State Warriors unveiled their best kept secret in this latter stretch of the season, bringing back the classic home uniforms during their last regular season game at Oracle Arena — a tribute appreciated by players and fans alike.

The team did not announce that players would be donning the uniforms, keeping even the players in the dark about this surprise event:

“They surprised us with the jerseys,” said Kevin Durant, according to ESPN's Nick Friedell. “I didn’t know about them until last week.”

For Stephen Curry, the lone player to have fully crossed over from the old era to this new generation of championship-laden talent, wearing these uniforms was a strange yet comforting feeling, knowing the meaning beyond this massive transition:

“For me, it was weird because I used to wear that jersey back in ‘09,” Curry said after the game, according to Ethan Strauss of The Athletic. “That was probably a different experience for me than everybody else who had never worn that jersey. Pretty cool, for real.”

Curry withstood three losing seasons upon breaking into the NBA, winning 26, 36 and 23 games, respectively, in each of his first three NBA campaigns, finally making the turn in 2012-13 under former coach Mark Jackson.

The first 42 years at Oracle Arena brought only five 50-win seasons to their fans, but they have now done it five more times in Steve Kerr's five seasons as a coach — a stark contrast that can only be bested by gifting “Roaracle” with a championship in this postseason.
