Golden State Warriors superstar small forward Kevin Durant met with the media on Friday for the first time since his calf injury and the former MVP knocked down the talk about the Dubs being better without him.

The Warriors have gone 5-0 since Durant got hurt and a lot of pundits have been saying the team plays better without KD. The two-time Finals MVP strongly disagrees with that notion.

Anybody who knows and watches basketball would never say the Warriors are better without Durant, who is one of the best players in NBA history. Does the ball move more when Durant is not out there? Sure, but that's only because the Warriors have to rely on more players when KD isn't playing since Durant is a walking bucket.

Before he hurt his right calf in Game 5 of the Warriors' second round series against the Houston Rockets, Durant was the best player in the 2019 playoffs. He was averaging 34.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.9 assists while shooting 51.3 percent from the field, 41.6 percent from beyond the arc and 90.1 percent from the free-throw line.

The NBA Finals start on May 30. The Warriors have already ruled out KD for Game 1. Golden State will face the winner of the Milwaukee Bucks-Toronto Raptors series. The Dubs would like to have Durant back at some point in the Finals.
