Klay Thompson exploded for 52 points in 27 minutes and drained 14 three-pointers in the process. But an even more astounding statistic is the number of dribbles he took to reach the feat.

As observed by Ahmed Fareed of NBCS, Thompson just took five dribbles on his record-breaking 14 three-point makes.

The most consecutive dribbles he made was four when he pulled up for a three. But most of his three-pointers were a result of the Warriors setting up him and his constant movement without the ball.

He took the fifth and final dribble right before making his 14th and final three for the night. It was a necessary bounce to free himself up as the defender was trying to chase him off the pick.

This is a great testament of how good the Warriors are as a team. It's easy to conclude that the reason why they are dominant is that they now have a total of five superstars in their team.

But a deeper observation reveals that head coach Steve Kerr runs a very sophisticated offensive playbook. His players are moving constantly. The ballhandler is always on the lookout for openings — be it in the paint or beyond the arc.

As a result, for shooters like Thompson, it makes his job relatively easier. It seems that his first task is to move nonstop without the ball. More often than not, he will be wide open and his Warriors teammates will find him.
