Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has made a name for himself as arguably the greatest shooter in the history of the NBA. His superb offensive skills, particularly from behind the arc, is one of the reasons why he has three championships and two regular season MVPs under his belt. He's also not known for being dirty, nor was he ever involved in any negative issue off the court.

Yet for some reason, some NBA players hate him.

Retired NBA player Matt Barnes had an opportunity to play with Curry during his career, and in a recent appearance on ESPN's The Jump, the one-time champion shared his thoughts about why some players dislike Steph.

“He’s the golden boy and destroyed record books, won championships, beat LeBron, and he’s done a lot of things that probably angered other players and other fans… That’s why I don’t think he gets the respect he deserves for one of the greatest players that’s ever played the game. I can see people being bitter from that, not to mention the light skin thing. People have problems with that.”

Curry has definitely broken a lot of players' and fans' hearts as he climbed towards superstardom. He helped the Warriors build a dynasty and has cemented his legacy as an all-time great. Moreover, he revolutionized the game of basketball with his style of play, and that's something that can never be taken away from him.

Being hated in the NBA is normal, especially when you're doing a lot of things that only you can do.

Steph is probably used to it, no matter how illogical the reasons of his haters are.
