Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry is going to break Ray Allen's all-time 3-point record within the next week. Allen is one of the greatest shooters of all time, but it would be tough to say he was ever better than Curry.

In an appearance on the Dan Patrick Show, Allen says he still wants his respect. He had this to say when asked about being called the greatest shooter of all time.

“That's certainly subjective, depending on who you are talking to.”

He was certainly a great shooter, but it's almost impossible to be better considering what the Warriors star has done for almost the past decade. What Curry does on the court is simply mind-blowing and it doesn't make much sense. We have never seen anything like this in the NBA, and there will probably never be another player who can do what Curry does.

Allen was a great player but he's also much different than Steph. The Warriors' offense is built around Stephen Curry and that's something Allen did not have for his whole career.

Curry is going to have a chance to potentially break the record on Monday night as the Warriors are taking on the Indiana Pacers. If he does not break it on Monday night, he could achieve the feat on Tuesday night as the Warriors are taking on the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden.

If Curry breaks this record at Madison Square Garden, it would be one of the cooler things ever done in basketball history.
