The Golden State Warriors are facing one of the most important summers in the history of the franchise, as two players who helped them build their dynasty are set to hit free agency next week. All-Stars Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson are both unrestricted free agents and there are reports that it is possible for them to leave the team where they've won two and three championships respectively.

But for Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen, both KD and Klay are going to stay with the Warriors next season.

Durant has long been reported to have interest in joining the Knicks. Meanwhile, there are speculations that Thompson will be interested in joining the Los Angeles Clippers if the Warriors won't offer him the max contract.

However, with both guys expected to miss the entire 2019-20 season, or at least most of it, a lot of people believe that they will stick with Golden State as they recover from their respective injuries.

Durant suffered a torn Achilles in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, while Klay Thomspon tore his ACL in Game 6. Both players have undergone successful surgeries over the past couple of weeks.

Free agency will open on July 1st, and if no one is interested in joining the Knicks, they will have a lot of problem using that cap space that they have saved. They have enough money to sign two players to max deals, but the question now is, who will take it?

The answers to that question will soon be revealed.
