Dallas Mavericks guard Seth Curry says his brother, Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry, was never going to sit out the whole season.

Seth says Steph loves the game too much and wants to play for his teammates and fans.

“Yeah, you want to get your rhythm back. You don’t want to sit a full year. That’s never good. When you love to play like he does … He’s been trying to get back [to the Warriors] and be patient with his health,” Seth Curry told Michael C. Wright of NBA.com.

“You never want to sit out a full year. He’s trying to come back and play and give these fans a show. That’s what it’s about at the end of the day. It’s about putting on a show for the fans and that’s what he’s trying to do.”

Curry was averaging 20.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game on the season for the Warriors before he hurt his hand. He was shooting 40.9 percent from the field, 24.3 percent from beyond the arc and a perfect 100 percent from the free throw line in four contests.

Head coach Steve Kerr wants Steph to develop on-court chemistry with former No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins. He also wants younger players on the Dubs to watch how Curry conducts himself in practice on a daily basis to learn good habits.

After going to the NBA Finals five years in a now, the Warriors have the worst record in the NBA. They figure to be playoff contenders next season once Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Wiggins and Draymond Green take the floor together.
