After a down year back in the 2019-20 NBA season, Stephen Curry has risen to the top of the league once again. The Golden State Warriors star finished as the first runner-up for the Most Valuable Player award and was must-see television whenever he caught fire.

But apparently his mind-blowing performances were not enough to lift his jersey sales. The Warriors guard fell all the way to 7th place among sales in the 2nd half of the season, as reported by the New York Times' Marc Stein.

There were some usual suspects on the list such as Los Angeles Lakers frontman LeBron James and Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant. But the Warriors icon was also leapfrogged by Phoenix Suns' Devin Booker and Boston Celtics' Jayson Tatum despite playing out of his mind for most of the year.

Curry dropped three spots from his 4th-placed perch during the 1st half of the year, when it was just James, Durant, and Dallas Mavericks' phenom Luka Doncic ahead of the Warriors guard.

Part of it probably had to do with the lack of on-court success when it came to wins, as Golden State was largely mediocre in the wins department. But another reason might just be that NBA fans already have their Stephen Curry jerseys in their closets, as the Warriors star has been a prominent fixture in NBA jersey sale rankings for nearly a decade.

But you better believe if Stephen Curry pulls off another MVP season with a title-contending record, the Warriors #30 jersey will skyrocket back to the top.
