Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry has achieved a number of milestones over the past couple of seasons and he continued that trend last night.

Curry scored 31 points, going 5-of-11 from 3-point range, grabbed five rebounds, and dished out 11 assists, as the Warriors outscored the Pelicans by 30 in the second half for a 125-115 victory Monday night.

Stephen Curry became the eighth player in the history of the league to make at least 2,000 3-pointers. He needed just 597 games to achieve the mark, breaking Ray Allen’s previous record of 824 games.

That's a difference of 227 games or almost three seasons. Curry did play in only 26 games of the lockout-shortened 2011-12 season due to persistent ankle issues, but he has otherwise never missed more than eight games in a season.

The Warriors superstar continues to climb up the NBA's all-time 3-pointers made list. Last week Stephen passed Jason Kidd with his 1,989th 3-pointer for 8th place and will most likely crack the top 5 before the season ends.
