Many Golden State Warriors fans have long complained about Steve Kerr limiting Stephen Curry's minutes. All too often, the superstar guard would put up insane numbers on the way to a new record, only to be benched in the fourth quarter. It's something that has infuriated fans wanting to see Curry go wild.

This was especially true last season, as Curry went crazy during the season but saw limited minutes. While some Warriors fans wished to have the Stephen Curry Experience more, Kerr didn't want to do that. As he explained in a radio interview, he wanted to “preserve” his main option.

“I didn't want to chase wins by playing Steph 40 mins a night. We were not great last year. We were in development mode. I was not going to burn Steph out in a year like that. This is a totally different year. We have a championship contender.”

For a team “not chasing wins,” that Warriors team did pretty well. Curry put up arguably one of his best seasons to date, as he carried an inexperienced team to the play-in tournament and led the NBA in scoring. Unfortunately, they ran out of gas, as they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers and the Memphis Grizzlies in the play-in tournament.

Still, it's fair to wonder what could've been had Curry gotten more playing time last season. He was one of the finalists for the MVP trophy, as he regained his former world-beater form. Even some of his fiercest rivals couldn't deny his greatness.

This season, with the Warriors in full championship mode, Curry has been unleashed. Can he win his third MVP and get another ring for his collection?
