Everyone knows the starting lineup of the Golden State Warriors contains five All-Stars and looks to be one of the most dominant units in the NBA. But Steve Kerr also has to worry about creating a decent second unit to take some of the pressure off his starters. Patrick McCaw could be a member of Kerr's bench, but there is still no update on McCaw's status.
Steve Kerr said there’s no resolution yet with Patrick McCaw. But as of now, he hasn’t cited it as a concern

McCaw, 22, has yet to sign his $1.7 million qualifying offer with the Warriors and appears to be mulling his options despite training camp getting underway. The youngster faces an Oct. 1 deadline to take the qualifying offer before Golden State could pull it and keep him a restricted free agent.
The third-year guard from UNLV would be a welcome return to Kerr's bench. McCaw's stats don't jump off the page, but his defensive versatility and his ability to provide depth off the bench made him a key rotational piece for Golden State the last two years.
Unfortunately, a devastating fall slowed McCaw down towards the end of last season. He barely played in the playoffs after appearing in 57 regular-season games.
There's no guarantee McCaw comes back to the Warriors, but Kerr is clearly not concerned. If a better offer was already on the table, McCaw may have already taken it. Additionally, if McCaw's fallback plan is to sign with a team that is the odds-on favorite to win a third straight championship, he's in an enviable position.
