Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was in absolute awe of LeBron James after an otherworldly performance in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

James dropped a bombastic 51 points in a losing effort, shooting a blistering 19-of-31 from the field — taking over the game, stopping runs, and making clutch plays down the stretch.

“They have a guy who's playing basketball at a level that I'm not sure anyone's ever seen before when you consider everything he's doing,” Kerr said during his post-game press conference.

James scored 45 percent of his team's points, but Kerr didn't hesitate on showering his teammates with some praise after the game, saying James has a “really good group of teammates” around him and that they're “really hard to guard.”

Besides the proper decorum, Kerr has trotted his team against James for three straight postseasons now, and yet he's still finding ways to surprise the four-year coach through this intense playoff run.

To call a spade a spade, James is singlehandedly carrying the Cavaliers throughout these playoffs, but that is likely the last thing Kerr needs to say after escaping with an overtime win in home confines.

The Warriors will get a King James at full throttle during these NBA Finals, and now these superhuman efforts have to be expected having committed to a smaller lineup that won't be able to offer as much resistance to a driving James like a traditional frontcourt lineup would.
