Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade didn't need to call his game-winning buzzer beater against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night, as Steve Kerr did it for him.

“I knew it was going in as soon as it left his hand, Kerr told Anthony Slater of The Athletic. ”

“I was like: ‘That thing's the perfect distance long to bank in.'”

The 37-year-old Wade ever so eloquently put the finishing touches on the Miami Heat's 126-125 victory over the defending NBA Champions with a banked-in shot from beyond the arc as time expired.

He also posted 25 points on 5-of-8 shooting from deep, seven rebounds, and three assists.

“Sometimes you just need to be lucky,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra told reporters following the win. “We've had so many of these breaks go against us.”

Throughout his 16-year tenure as one of the NBA's most revered shooting guards, Wade has been notorious for icing big games in crucial moments, and he did that against the Warriors.

“His career? He's pretty good, Kerr told reporters. He's had a lot of moments, a lot of incredible moments. I'm sure if you asked him, this would probably be right up there, in this kind of game. He was amazing, and he's a Hall of Famer for a reason.”

The Heat are working to get Wade back for what could likely be his final NBA postseason. They are currently a half of a game behind the Charlotte Hornets who hold the No. 8 spot.

Dwyane Wade has been named to 13 All-Star games and has also won three NBA titles, while averaging 22.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.4 assists in his career.
