To say that Stephen Curry is on a bit of a hot streak right now would be a complete understatement. Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr puts Curry's current scorching stretch into perspective by explaining why he believes this one is different from those that we have seen from the likes of Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan many years ago.

According to Kerr, what Curry is doing right now is simply unprecedented:

“I’ve seen Kobe Bryant, early in his career had a stretch where he went nuts,” Kerr said, via BasketballNews.com. “And obviously Michael Jordan add some stretches where he just scored like crazy. But, obviously, nobody’s ever shot the ball like this in the history of the game. And even by Steph’s own lofty standards, this is above and beyond.”

Coach Kerr has been around the game long enough to have witnessed multiple generations of greatness. As a matter of fact, he even played alongside the greatest of them all in MJ. He's also been a first-hand witness of Curry's eminence for several years now so he is definitely an authority in this matter.

In case you weren't paying too much attention, Stephen Curry has been tearing up the NBA of late. His heroics have actually been hard to miss as he's been making headlines pretty much whenever he takes the court.

His numbers over the last five games? 44.8 points on 55.6 percent shooting, 5.2 rebounds, and 5.0 assists. He's also draining 9.2 triples per contest on a 55.4-percent clip. That's simply ridiculous. Shooting-wise, not even Kobe or MJ has come close to what Curry is doing right now.
