Stephen Curry woke up on Monday feeling dangerous. The Golden State Warriors put on another scoring clinic on the road against the Philadelphia 76ers and broke another record. This time, it was the great Kobe Bryant's record on the line for consecutive 30-point games by any NBA player aged 33 and up. Curry went out there and obliterated that feat as he got to 11 straight games after Monday night's explosion versus the Sixers.

After a stretch like this, Stephen Curry definitely needs to be in the MVP conversation.
It's been ‘Steph-ortless' for Curry in this most recent scoring run. On the road in Philadelphia, going toe-to-toe against his brother Seth Curry, the three-time champ erupted for 49 points on 10-of-17 shooting from deep. Stephen Curry is now the first player in NBA history to get to at least 50 three-pointers in a six-game span. Add to that, this is Curry's eighth 40-point game this season and his sixth game where he knocked down at least 10 triples. Crazy numbers.
What makes this recent run from the two-time MVP even more impressive is that he's been racking up some much-needed wins for the Warriors as well. After the win in Philadelphia, the Dubs are now 7-4 in their last 11, including a 3-1 road record, which now puts them at 29-29, just two games behind the seventh-place Dallas Mavericks, though the Dubs are three back of Dallas in the loss column.
Without an All-Star teammate in sight, Stephen Curry is putting the Warriors on his broad shoulders. Shorthanded or not, Golden State seems to be a lock for at least a play-in tournament spot with their MVP leading the way. The Dubs have a chance to get in the playoffs, and as long as they can do that, they will always have at least a puncher's chance with their flamethrowing 3-point ace on the floor.
