Golden State Warriors majority-owner Joe Lacob isn't shying away from the thoughts that have plagued the minds of many fans throughout the season — a rematch with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.

“I don't care who we play, but my preference is Cleveland. We have some unfinished business,” Joe Lacob said after a 129-115 Game 4 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night, according to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.

“We were the better team, but they did win,” Lacob added, in reference to the 2016 Finals, according to Marcus Thompson of the San Jose Mercury News. “We need a chance to go in there and prove that.”

Golden State had the most disastrous fall in the NBA Finals since the 2006 Dallas Mavericks dropped four straight to the Miami Heat after winning the first two games at home.

The team and its fans have been itching for not just a second championship in the last three years, but a chance for redemption on the biggest stage and the consequential bragging rights of winning a best-of-three finals series.

Lacob has been quite outspoken since becoming an owner of the team in 2010, with his blunt remarks often catching the ears of the media.

The Warriors will have nine days worth of waiting until they can potentially meet their Eastern Conference rival in the NBA Finals for a third straight year — a feat never achieved by any team before.
