The Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers have embarked into an intense game on Monday night. The two heavyweights, led by Stephen Curry and LeBron James, have headlined the past three NBA Finals matchups and they look ready to do it again in June.

The Warriors hold the best record in the Western Conference currently, and the Cavs have proved time and time again that they are a quality contender when it really matters. In their Monday night showdown, Curry and James were involved in yet another controversial play during their three-year rivalry. In one particular play, Curry was noticeably kneed by James in his groin area, and the guard felt a bit uncomfortable as a result.

Of course, this did little to bother Curry's insane 3-point make after the hit.

Although the hit didn't seem intentional in any way, it does bring the referee's vision into question. Normally, referees are quick to hand out flagrant foul calls when they see any “excessive” contact. Apparently, this play didn't warrant any sort of foul on the other end.

It's a good thing that the Warriors guard wasn't hurt on the play and that he made the 3-pointer to show for it. Yet, this probably won't be the last questionable play between the two teams, especially since both Cavs and Warriors are expected to return to the NBA Finals.

This is the last showdown between the Warriors and the Cavs in the regular season, so any leftover feelings from this game may be translated down the road if these teams should meet again. Hopefully, both teams can engage in fair and clean basketball on both ends of the floor.
