Without a doubt, Matt Reeves' The Batman succeeded in infusing new life into Robert Pattinson's version of the Dark Knight. Viewers were treated to a darker, more violent version of Gotham City and a Batman who's just two years into his vigilante career. The end result is a box office earning that has surpassed $700 million and a resounding clamor for both Reeves and Pattinson to work on the sequel right away. But if this deepfake video would have its way, another actor would be in front of the camera – Adam West.

In a Youtube video created by Corridor, a visual effects group that has been creating viral content, one of The Batman's trailers has been reworked with West's iteration of the Caped Crusader in it. By cleverly using deepfake technology to replace Pattinson's scenes with West's old ones from the 60s Batman series, the group has come out with a video that will surely grab anyone's attention.

And the great thing here is that isn't just West's campy hero fans will see. Certain scenes that originally feature Colin Farrell's Penguin and Paul Dano's Riddler are also replaced with their respective counterparts from the 60s Batman show. These parts, along with those that have West in them, are masterfully done by Corridor. Too bad, though, that the deleted Joker scene wasn't done as the result could have been phenomenal.

The end result is an incredible mashup that blends the light and campy take that reinvigorated the Caped Crusader during the 1960s with the dark and gritty version we just saw in theaters recently. And while Pattinson's take in The Batman is certainly one that deserves recognition, it can't be denied that a hypothetical version of West in a more realistic setting would have been an entertaining one.

But since this wouldn't be possible, fans will have to wait for Reeves and Pattinson's sequel to The Batman. The good news here is that the follow-up to their take on the Dark Knight has been greenlit recently. In any case, it wouldn't hurt if a whole Batman film was deepfaked with Adam West in it.
