Stephen Curry's 2020-21 single-game scoring season-high … is still alive after a crazy moment for Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal.

On Wednesday night, Beal threatened Curry's mark by dropping 60 points—a franchise best—in his team's matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Beal shot 20-of-35 from the field, 7-of-10 from three-point range, and 13-for-15 from the charity stripe in 38 minutes. Despite his heroics, the Wizards fell to the Sixers, 141-136. However, he just scored three points in the fourth quarter.

The loss dropped Washington to 2-6 on the season.

Bradley Beal lit it up in the first half. He shot 11-16 from the field and went 4-for-5 from beyond the arc, becoming the third Wizards player to score 30 points in a half in the last two decades, per Mike DePrisco of Yahoo Sports. The other two? Gilbert Arenas and some journeyman named Michael Jordan.

The Golden State Warriors' two-time MV dropped 62 points on Sunday night, in an “I took that personally” game against the Portland Trail Blazers.

After being “victimized” by a weekend of social media slander, Curry responded by shooting 18-for-31 from the field, 8-of-16 from downtown, and 18-19 from the free-throw line against Portland. In doing so, he became the first player since Kobe Bryant to drop 30 points in each half of an NBA game, and the first player to eclipse 60 points in a game in the 2020-21 season.

For now, the Chef's 62 remains the season-high.

Beal added seven rebounds and five assists in the loss. Ironically, he posted a -9 despite his hot hand.

His backcourt mate, Russell Westbrook, put up 20 points, eight rebounds, 12 assists, three steals, and six turnovers on Wednesday.

Ahead of Wednesday's tip-0ff, Beal was averaging 30.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game in 2020-21. He put up 30.5 points per game in 2019-20.
