Washington Wizards star point guard Russell Westbrook made history on Monday night by breaking Oscar Robertson's triple-double record. The tributes and special messages poured in across the evening, with Wizards teammate Bradley Beal delivering his own on social media amid his rant aimed at Kent Bazemore.

While Beal didn't play in Monday's game against the Atlanta Hawks due to a hamstring injury, the star shooting guard said it has been an honor for him to suit up alongside Russ. Here's his late-night tribute:

Westbrook racked up his 182nd triple-double with yet another ridiculous stat line, going for 28 points, 21 assists and 13 rebounds. The Wizards star also nearly capped off an insane fourth-quarter comeback, only to miss the game-winning shot in the final seconds in a 125-124 loss. Washington scored 45 points in the final frame as part of the furious comeback attempt.

Even in defeat, it was still a night of celebration for Westbrook and the Wizards. And while Beal has only been a teammate of Russ for just this season, it has been amazing for him to see this historic triple-double run up close.

Now that history has been made, Westbrook and Co. will be 100% focused on securing a spot in the play-in tournament. The Wizards are 32-37 on the season and hold a 2.5-game lead over the No. 11 Chicago Bulls. Washington still has a great chance of making it, but Beal's injury erases some of the margin for error.

Of course, it's hard to see Westbrook letting a spot in the play-in tournament slip away, and he surely has a few more massive games in store as this regular season comes to an end. Meanwhile, Beal is hoping he can return Friday to help this final push.
