As expected, Washington Wizards rookie Deni Avdija is pretty excited to play with All-Stars Bradley Beal and John Wall in the nation's capital.

During his media session with Wizards reporters on Wednesday, Avdija said he's going to fit in very well with Beal and Wall, both of whom the Washington youngster called “hard workers” (via Fred Katz of The Athletic).

The Wizards selected Deni Avdija with the ninth overall pick in the 2020 draft. He was named to the EuroLeague 2019 Adidas Next Generation Tournament Finals All-Tournament Team after averaging 24.7 points, 12.0 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game.

Avdija also put up 12.9 points, 6.3 boards and 2.7 assists in 33 games in the Israeli League with Maccabi Tel Aviv.

John Wall missed the entire 2019-20 season recovering from his Achilles tear, while Bradley Beal was second in the NBA in points per game. The Wizards are expected to compete for a playoff spot this season with Beal and Wall leading the way again.

The last time Wizards fans saw Wall play basketball was back in 2018-19. The former No. 1 overall pick appeared in 32 games that season and put up 20.7 points and 8.7 assists a night before undergoing heel surgery.
