After being absolutely roasted by the entire Twitterverse following his now infamous Team USA headshot, John Wall has shared his thoughts on the matter.

Wall's offseason has been the theme of Ballislife's YouTube series entitled “Summer of Separation,” and the subject of the Washington Wizards guard's hilarious photo was inevitably brought up.

The headshot becomes the topic of conversation among Wall and other personnel present in Team USA's post-practice treatment session at the 6:57 mark of the video.

Everyone seemed to have enjoyed talking about the photo and some of their favorite memes that were created following the release of the headshot. The comparison to Forest Whitaker was a unanimous favorite, but for Wall himself, who appeared to have taken the whole matter without any ill will, it was the “Friday After Next” meme that took the cake.

Entering the eighth season of his career, Wall has yet to come close to the pinnacle of the NBA, and knows that he still has a lot to prove. Since being picked first overall by the Wizards in 2010, Wall has amassed a number of personal accolades, including five All-Star Games and an All-NBA selection in 2017. Nonetheless, Wall has only gone as far as the second round in the playoffs, and he understands that team accomplishments far outweigh all his personal achievements.

With the 6-foot-4 point guard tied up to the Wizards for the next five years (with the fifth and final year having a player option), and set to earn $188 million in that span, Washington is all in on Wall. For his part, he is hoping that he is able to repay the trust bestowed on him by giving the city its first NBA title since 1978.
