The Green Bay Packers are a mess right now and their star quarterback is done with it. The disgruntled Aaron Rodgers wants out and the last few seasons have been pushing him in this direction. This likely started when the Packers took Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 draft instead of a receiver or lineman that would help the team immediately.
There has also been plenty of friction between Rodgers and head coach Matt LaFleur. This has finally bubbled over and after the 49ers reportedly reached out to Green Bay earlier this week for a trade including Rodgers, the reigning MVP ultimately wants out.
There are plenty of suitors for Aaron Rodgers, who is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Many teams could use his elite arm and IQ at the quarterback position and there are a few teams he could turn into championship contenders. Here are five organizations that could trade for the future Hall of Famer.
Denver Broncos
The Broncos recently made a move to acquire Teddy Bridgewater from the Carolina Panthers, but they could still really benefit from getting Rodgers. The move for Bridgewater proved that the Broncos are ready to move on from Drew Lock and they have the supporting cast to give Rodgers' a championship-level team. The Broncos have an elite defense, a good offensive line, and a lot of intriguing weapons for Aaron Rodgers.
New England Patriots
The Patriots are, perhaps, the dream destination for Rodgers. They have struggled to find a replacement for Tom Brady since he left for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Rodgers is the obvious replacement that New England has been waiting for. Rodgers would be one of the most talented quarterbacks to play for New England and he would look to help the Patriots get back to their dominant ways of the past.
San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers have been heavily rumored to take a quarterback with the third pick in the upcoming NFL draft, but they could end up trading it for a quarterback. The 49ers made it to the Super Bowl behind Jimmy Garrappolo, fans can only imagine what they would do behind a talent like Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers could utilize their elite deep threats and solid line, perhaps transforming them into a championship contender.
Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears have been in search of a quarterback for a long time. They are an elite defense with some really solid offensive weapons, but they have not had a quarterback to maximize their talent. Rodgers would almost certainly turn the Bears into a championship-level team and could potentially maximize their talent on offense.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders might very well be the favorites to land Rodgers. Rodgers is exactly the type of player Jon Gruden loves. He is a hard worker and a grinder, the type of player who thrives under Gruden. The Raiders have a very solid mix of young talent and veterans. Aaron Rodgers would love to play behind the line in Las Vegas and he would have a lot of young weapons to throw to.
