On Clint Eastwood's birthday, he celebrated turning 93 years old. He was born May 31, 1930 in California. That didn't go unnoticed by his friend and mentee, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Schwarzenegger wished him a happy birthday on the day of, calling him a legend and a hero.

Schwarzenegger wrote on Twitter: “Happy birthday, Clint! You’ve inspired me, you’ve mentored me, and you’re a wonderful friend. At 93, you prove that heroes don’t retire – they reload. You’re a legend.”

Clint Eastwood was born May 31, 1930 in San Fransisco, California. He was drafted in the military during the Korean War before he became an acting/directing legend. Eastwood became known on a national level with the Western TV series Rawhide. International recognition came after he earned the role as the Man with No Name in Sergio Leone's Dollars Trilogy. He stuck to these Western roles throughout the 1970s and 1980s, making him the icon of masculinity.<

Similar to Arnold Schwarzenegger's film to political career, Eastwood was the two year mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea, California in 1986.

Eastwood is a well decorated actor and director. He's got four Academy Awards, four Golden Globes, three Cesar Awards, and many others across the globe. He has Academy Award nominee for Best Actor, but won Best Director and Best Picture for his Western film Unforgiven in 1992 and his sports drama Million Dollar Baby in 2004.

He's also directed a handful of films as well; many of which he doesn't appear in. These include the mystery drama Mystic River (2003) and the war film Letters from Iwo Jima (2006), for which he received Academy Award nominations.
