The Houston Astros just locked up Yordan Alvarez on a massive six-year, $115 million contract, and it's safe to say the entire organization is fired up about it. While Alvarez has budded into a star in Houston, it wasn't long ago that he was a farmhand in the Dodgers' system. LA ended up trading Alvarez to the Astros in a deal they probably regret to this day, and they have now been issued a long-standing reminder of that trade, courtesy of the Astros' Twitter account.

Back in 2016, the Dodgers made the regrettable decision to send Alvarez to the Astros in exchange for Josh Fields. While Fields was solid during his tenure with the Dodgers, he's been out of baseball since 2018, while Alvarez has developed into one of the most feared and esteemed sluggers in all of MLB.

From 2016-18, Fields made 124 appearances for the Dodgers, registering a 2.61 ERA with 115 strikeouts across 117.1 innings. He was certainly one of the better relievers in the bullpen, but that doesn't do much to wash out the sour taste in Dodgers fans mouths watching Alvarez club home run after home run in Houston.

The 24-year-old is slashing .295/.391/.624 this season with 16 home runs and 34 RBI. He crushed 33 home runs and drove in 104 runs last season, having truly come into his own as a hitter.

As if watching him flourish in the AL West wasn't bad enough, the Astros took another jab at the Dodgers by pinning the tweet of what could very well be described as a franchise-altering trade for Houston.
