Ice Cube's BIG3 league is coming off a solid inaugural season and their second installment is expected to be even bigger. Initially, the concept for the league began with an idea of retired players competing against each other. Apparently, the league's business model has been profitable lately. Millions of dollars in revenue and a global fan base has kept BIG3 league executives busy.

Recently, the BIG3 has announced the schedule for its second season. The league has partnered with the NBA for access of the league's arenas. According to their website, here are some of the dates to remember in their upcoming schedule for the second season.

WEEK 1 | June 22: Toyota Center | Houston,Texas

WEEK 2 | June 29: United Center | Chicago, Illinois

WEEK 3 | July 6: Oracle Arena | Oakland, California

WEEK 4 | July 13: Little Caesars Arena | Detroit, Michigan

WEEK 5 | July 20: American Airlines Arena | Miami, Florida

The second season of the BIG3 will feature a wealth of improvements and staff changes. Ice Cube will take over as the league commissioner after Roger Mason was fired over a controversial matter. BIG3 CEO Jeff Kwatinetz recently chimed in about the growth of the league and the new improvements to come.

“We were thrilled by how quickly fans embraced the league last season, and look forward to bringing them an even bigger and better BIG3 this year. All off-season we've been working hard to elevate the game – we've added incredible talent, new cities, and have more exciting updates on the way,” added BIG3 co-Founder and co-CEO Jeff Kwatinetz.

With the rapid expansion that the league has maintained last year, the goal for this year is only to get better.
