Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen improved a lot in his second year, and so did the Bills as a team as they finished the season with a 10-6 record — their best since 1999. Heading into 2020, the Bills have a chance to take things a step further. The atmosphere around Buffalo is one of success for the first time in a while, and Allen knows how important next season is.

“I understand how big of a year it is,” Allen said. “But I’m taking it one day at a time and I’m just trying to do my part to be the best that I can be for the Buffalo Bills,” Allen said per Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News.

The Bills have made multiple moves this offseason, which have placed them as possible favorites to win the AFC East with longtime New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady now in Tampa Bay.

Perhaps the team's most significant move was trading for former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs. The Bills acquired the 26-year-old pass-catcher and a 2020 seventh-round pick in exchange for a first, fifth and sixth-round pick and a fourth-rounder in 2021.

The acquisition of Diggs will give Allen and the Bills a much-needed go-to option at receiver to go along with a stingy defense that ranked second in the league in points allowed per game last season.

Along with Diggs, the Bills have gone out and signed free agents such as a defensive lineman trio of Vernon Butler, Mario Addison, and Quinton Jefferson as well as former All-Pro cornerback Josh Norman and offensive lineman Quinton Spain and Daryl Williams.
