Kris Bryant has heard his name mentioned in trade rumors all offseason long. While the Chicago Cubs would prefer to keep him, they have to find a way to make some moves. Unfortunately, trading one of their current MLB talents will be the only way for them to make that happen.

Some rumors have swirled around the Cubs looking to move Willson Contreras or Kyle Schwarber. Theo Epstein knows he has to make a move and Bryant would definitely net them the biggest return.

Bleacher Report broke down the top potential landing spots for Bryant and the Atlanta Braves topped their list.

They listed quite a few potential prospects that the Cubs could target. Chicago needs to upgrade their farm talent and trading Bryant to the Braves would be just the thing to do that.

Moving on from Bryant will be tough for the Cubs and their fans to handle. He has meant so much to the franchise and was a huge part of winning the World Series in 2016. Trading him may become a necessity, but it won't be something that they are happy about doing.

Atlanta was hoping to re-sign Josh Donaldson this offseason, but he has been receiving a ton of interest from other teams in free agency. If they are unable to bring him back, that would make a trade for Bryant a perfect fallback option. Bryant would provide excellent long-term stability and would be even better than the production Donaldson brought to the diamond.

All of that being said, Bryant's name is something to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.
