Get the cigars ready, because reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is already planning to party like none other than the GOAT himself, Michael Jordan, when his Milwaukee Bucks finally win a championship.
It's not just going to be an ordinary bash, but it's going to be all the way in Mykonos, complete with those cigars. Antetokounmpo revealed this desire during Thursday's Athletes Doing Good Radiothon.
Via Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:
“Before all this happened with COVID-19, I was talking about taking the team on a trip to Greece in Mykonos,” Antetokounmpo said “Mykonos is one of the best islands in Greece, it’s a party island. You cannot go there with your significant other, you got to be by yourself. It’s got to be a boys' trip. Obviously, we have Santorini, Santorini’s really romantic. It has the best sunset and sunrise in the world. You can take your significant other there.
“I had the opportunity to go last year – I went with (Eric) Bledsoe and Brook (Lopez) to Mykonos – and I was kind of sad I wasn’t able to bring the whole team to experience what we went through. So definitely, I think, after we win the championship and we’re holding the trophy and we’re all smoking a cigar like M.J., we can all do that in Mykonos.”
Giannis was born and raised in Greece, where he also started to make a name for himself in the early days of his basketball career. The 6-foot-11 Athens native frequents his hometown and shows his love for his heritage by suiting up for Greece's national team.
The Bucks had the best record in the NBA at 53-12 when the regular season was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic. Antetokounmpo is the favorite to win MVP again:

Because of the different developments of the virus and how widespread it has become, there are a lot of concerns regarding when and where the season will continue. There have been recent reports claiming that the league is considering resuming the season in July at Disney World in Orlando. It's not going to be hard for Giannis to get a cigar guy in Florida.
