Veteran shooting guard Kyle Korver is drawing high praise from his new Milwaukee Bucks teammates.

Korver signed a one-year, $2.6 million contract with the Bucks this summer. He’s one of the best shooters in NBA history and will stretch the floor very well for Milwaukee this season.

On Monday, (Wesley) Matthews mentioned how exciting it was to see Korver shooting and “coming off wide pin-downs” on the practice floor because he used to have to chase him as a defender. Now, they were teammates, so he would get to enjoy watching Korver drive other teams crazy.

On Thursday, (Khris) Middleton talked about how much attention Korver draws from defenders and the devastating screens Robin Lopez sets. (Eric) Bledsoe added how he believed he could get many layups this season because of the attention Korver draws from defenders.

Korver has career averages of 9.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists while shooting 44.3 percent from the field, 42.9 percent from beyond the arc and 87.8 percent from the free-throw line in 1,174 games with the Philadelphia 76ers, Utah Jazz, Chicago Bulls, Atlanta Hawks and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Korver's shooting prowess will create more driving lanes for Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo and point guard Eric Bledsoe. Milwaukee, who had the best record in the league last season, figures to be explosive on offense again in 2019-20.
