Former BYU star AJ Dybantsa is considered one of the top prospects in the NBA draft. Dybantsa has shown himself to be a prolific scorer with a high athletic motor. In a recent interview with @DevInTheLab, Dybantsa revealed who his favorite player is.

“My favorite player is Kevin Durant. But he's super, like, unmimicable. So I do watch his film though, 'cause like you gotta watch KD film.”

He also identified Anthony Edwards, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luka Doncic, and Cade Cunningham as other players that he takes inspiration from.

“But I watch a lot of, right now, [Anthony] Edwards and Shai for, like, buckets. Um, and for reads, Luka and Cade.”

AJ Dybantsa emerged as one of the most prolific scorers in college basketball this season. In 35 games for the Cougars, he averaged 25 points and shot 51% from the field. He also added 6.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.1 steals. His film watching will certainly lead to him improving his game at the next level.

Dybantsa is the latest draft prospect to verbalize the players that they take inspiration from. Former North Carolina standout Caleb Wilson, in an interview with SiriusXM Radio in May, also documented who he watches film on to develop his game.

“Probably a lot of Kobe. A whole bunch of Kobe. That was my dad's favorite player, and mine's too. Rasheed Wallace, Ben Wallace too, the Bad Boy Pistons. And then, I watch a lot of [Michael Jordan] too. I mean, lately I've been watching [Giannis Antetokounmpo] a lot, 'cause I feel like the closer and closer I get to the NBA, my athleticism and my size kinda translates me to his skill set. So I watch a lot of him, but that's pretty much it.”
