Boston Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens has been through a lot during his time with the C's. He's faced all sorts of problems and controversies throughout his tenure as a head coach and now, as a top-level executive. Amid the myriad of rumors and speculation, the one allegation the 45-year-old has faced with full confidence is that of a farting incident during his time as a coach.

Stevens recently guested on 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Toucher and Rich program wherein the show's host confronted him with an allegation pertaining to a moment wherein he supposedly passed during a media press conference. The Celtics exec had a quick and snark response as he quashed the narrative altogether:

“First of all, you guys can splice that in pretty easily,” Brad Stevens joked, via Ricky Doyle of NESN. “Secondly, when you’re doing the Zoom, you’re sitting in a chair and not standing in the scrum. So, when I moved the chair, that was the noise the chair made. And third, you guys don’t know me very well, but I’d claim it.”

That was pretty much the perfect response from Brad Stevens. He covered all his bases in one sweeping statement without sounding like he was guilty of the alleged crime.

While this was all a good source of a bit of a laugh, Stevens and the Celtics have a lot more serious matters to deal with this season. Inadvertent flatulence is the last thing on their minds right now.
