The last couple of days have been quite eventful for Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid. He was rushed to the hospital in their Week 3 game against the Los Angeles Chargers after suffering from dehydration. He then made his return to the field in the best way possible: Setting a new NFL record.

On Sunday, the Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles on the road, 43-30. In the process, Reid became the first coach in NFL history to tally 100 wins with two different franchises. It was quite poetic as well that he did it against his former team, in only in his second return to his old stomping grounds of Arrowhead Stadium.

After the game, the ever-affable Reid offered an adorable quote, which only further proves why he's one of the most beloved personalities in the NFL. Explaining how he prepared for the game, he only focused on one thing (via Yahoo! Sports).

“My room was filled with food. It was good to have a cheesesteak. It’s good to be back.”

The strategy cleared worked as the Chiefs improved to 2-2, with star quarterback Patrick Mahomes once again leading the attack, throwing for five touchdowns, three of them to wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

Reid will forever be adored in Philadelphia after steering the Eagles from 1999 to 2012. Even though he's been with the Chiefs for almost a decade now, the Eagles faithful still treat him as their own.

After gorging on cheesesteaks, Andy Reid and the Chiefs will gun for their third win next Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.
