Midway through the fourth quarter of Game 5 of the first-round series between the Golden State Warriorsa and Los Angeles Clippers, Draymond Green walked to his opponent's sideline and put his arm around Doc Rivers. The pair exchanged words calmly, their eyes affixed to the video board above half court, before parting ways en route to another stunning Clippers victory over the two-time defending champions.

The interaction between Green and Rivers stood out for its apparent lack of tension. Multiple times throughout this series, players for Golden State and Los Angeles have engaged in back-and-forths on the floor that can be best described as intensely heated. With six minutes left in an elimination game, though, Green and Rivers shared an embrace and some seemingly friendly banter.

Just what were they discussing? Before Friday's Game 6, Doc Rivers finally shed light on his chat with the Warriors' loudmouth star.

“It was comical,” he said, per ClutchPoints' Tomer Azarly. “We were laughing actually, cause I said, ‘Man, that was a foul,' and he said, ‘No it wasn't.' Then he comes over and hugs me and says, ‘Let's look at the video together.' And that's what we were doing. I looked over at Tom Izzo, and he was dying laughing.

“We did,” Rivers continued. “We looked at the video, and of course Draymond thought it wasn't a foul, I thought it was a foul. That's why he walked away, because I didn't agree with him.”

Green and Rivers are two of the fiercest, most verbose competitors in basketball. They've had their share of interactions throughout the first round, and are bound to have more over the years. Whether they'll ever agree on a questionable call, though, is something else entirely.
