Pete Crow-Armstrong continues to impress everyone. Despite his breakout season last year, many still doubted the Chicago Cubs outfielder. This year, PCA is one of the bright spots for Chicago as they continue their quest to win the World Series. Against the surging Colorado Rockies, Crow-Armstong's name was called on again, and he delivered.

PCA had been having an awesome night for the Cubs against the Rockies. The star outfielder had already hit a double, a triple, and a home run in the game, helping jumpstart the struggling Chicago team. In the seventh inning, Crow-Armstrong came up clutch, hitting a single as the lead-off man. With that hit, PCA hit for the cycle for the first time in his career.

Unfortunately, the Cubs were not able to capitalize on that hit, as they didn't score a run in that inning. The Rockies then proceeded to punish Chicago for stranding PCA on the basepaths, scoring three runs in the eighth inning to take a decisive 4-2 lead. Chicago was unfazed, though, getting a run at the bottom of the eighth thanks to a sacrifice fly from PCA. They proceeded to walk off Colorado in the ninth with two runs, with third baseman Matt Shaw drawing the walk-off walk with the bases loaded.

Crow-Armstrong is the thirteenth player to hit the cycle in Cubs' history. The last cycle for Chicago was last year, when catcher Carson Kelly caught fire against the Athletics early in the season. Crow-Armstrong is also the first player to hit for the cycle this year in the MLB.

The Cubs improve to 38-35 on the season, good for third in the NL Central. They are seven games behind the Milwaukee Brewers for the division title, and are currently not in the playoff picture. Still, there are plenty of games to be played and plenty of opportunities to regain control of the division.
