Los Angeles Dodgers' General Manager Andrew Friedman appeared on MLB Network to discuss offseason moves on Wednesday. MLB Network analyst Brian Kenny finished off the interview by asking Friedman about the team's level of interest in free agent Freddie Freeman. It is safe to say that his response confirmed Los Angeles's desire to add him to the roster.

Via Matthew Moreno:

“He is a really, really, really good baseball player. I can say he's really good at baseball. It's hard to go beyond that. … As soon as that decision is made, it will be easier to speak on.”

If that doesn't confirm the Dodgers' interest in the superstar first baseman, I don't know what else would.

Any chance of Freeman returning to Atlanta was officially eliminated when he posted a farewell message to the Braves and their fans to his social media on Wednesday morning. One possible suitor for Rizzo was the Yankees, but they reportedly have moved on after re-signing Anthony Rizzo on Tuesday evening.

The Dodgers competition is limited with those two juggernauts out of the Freeman sweepstakes. But the Blue Jays, Red Sox, Rays, and Padres have all still been mentioned as potential landing destinations for his services. The Dodgers would still project as the favorite given that he is originally from the Southern California area and LA is looking to win the World Series.

The Dodgers were originally questioned as a team to sign Freeman since they already have Max Muncy on the roster, but the implementation of the universal DH allows them to be versatile in terms of roster construction.

Andrew Friedman and the Dodgers certainly have interest in the former NL MVP. We will see if they can make him a Dodger in the near future.
