Prior to his injury, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz had established himself as one of the most promising players in the NFL. It appears he was so good that even other fellow young quarterbacks were taking notes.

Among them is Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. Prescott can be seen studying film on the Eagles' offense versus the Washington Redskins, via PHLSpotsNation.

In the video, offensive coordinator Scott Linehan is trying to show Prescott the best way to throw to a man in coverage. Linehan mentions former wide receiver Dez Bryant's ability to go up and over single coverage and snag the ball. This seems to be something Wentz has become the gold standard for.

It is not uncommon for players to study film on others that play the same position. In fact, quarterbacks are encouraged to see how others may approach a certain defensive scheme, especially from a team in the same division. However, some may find Prescott trying to learn a thing or two from a quarterback in the same draft class a bit concerning.

Of course, it is hard to imagine that this film session was based purely on Wentz's throwing mechanics. Perhaps the bigger concern here is the fact that Dallas no longer has a wideout like Bryant for Prescott to throw it up to. The Cowboys' receiving corps has been the subject of some criticism this year. Meanwhile, the expectations could not be any higher for Prescott in the 2018 NFL season. That said, he will need all the help he can get.
