Tim “Nemesis” Lipovšek and Juš “Crownshot” Marušič join Gen.G as part of its new content creation team. The team in question features a mix of players and influencers for a hefty 2021 content plan. Gen.G looks to produce a mixture of Korean and English content on Twitch, YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter.

A different battlefront

Nemesis and Crownshot are professional players at the peak of their careers but found themselves without a team for the 2021 season. Nemesis famously fought alongside Fnatic across its back-to-back Worlds appearances in 2019 and 2020. Unfortunately, Crownshot failed to qualify for Worlds with SK Gaming but has been a consistent force on the team. The two players turned to online streaming during the offseason while waiting for a new team. Now, these skilled players find themselves in an established Korean organization with a very different job description. Crownshot and Nemesis' role on the Gen.G content team focuses on “doing live-reviews of matches while training on the ladder.”

Gen.G's COO Arnold Hur took to Twitter to explain the role of each member on the brand new content creation team. The team includes two former world champions who previously played for Gen.G. Ambition and CuVee secured a Worlds win before Samsung Galaxy rebranded to Gen.G in 2018. The two world champions' role on the team focuses on streaming League of Legends.

The organization also signed several influencers to round out the dual-language content spread it has envisioned for 2021. League of Legends is not the only focus for Gen.G. The team signed on several professional players and influencers for other esports titles to cater to a wider audience. Gen.G effectively created a home for skilled players to showcase their talents even away from the professional stage.
